The View is cleaning house and freshening up. Jenny McCarthy has joined the panel as Joy Behar’s replacement.
The actress and former Playboy playmate was named Monday as co-host for the ABC weekday talk show. Barbara Walters, who created The View in 1997 and has served as a co-host, made the expected announcement on the air.
McCarthy will join The View as Joy Behar prepares to leave after being on the show since its premiere.
A remaining vacancy was created last week by Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who exited to join Fox News Channel.
Other co-hosts of The View include Sherri Shepherd and Whoopi Goldberg.
Do we have any The View fans? Let us know in comments what you think about the changes on the panel.
It will be interesting to see who they get to replace Elizabeth Hasselbeck. As far as Jenny, she seems like a controversial choice since I think I recall her being part of a push to stop parents from getting their children immunized. It will definitely be interesting.

Hi E.G.!
I’m curious who will replace Elisabeth as well. I liked her on the panel, but she will be happier at Fox and Friends.
Thanks for dropping by!

It’s getting alot of attention, just what the network wanted. She will only be able to say what has been filtered, even though the show is called “the view”. Thanks!
