Good evening and Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely mothers out there! We hope you had a fabulous day being spoiled by your beautiful kids! Muah
In tonight’s episode of The Good Wife, Eli starts the show off by trying to prep Finn for his televised press conference with Governor Florrick. Eli warns Finn to be prepared for the States Attorney to play dirty because the Governor has endorsed him instead of the SA. He says if there are any skeletons in his closet that the SA might use against him; to let him know so he can be prepared to defend it.
Cut to the States Attorney meeting with the Governor. He knows he’s not going to get Peter’s endorsement for his re-election; so he’s now running a smear campaign against Finn. He presents Peter with a surveillance photo of Finn walking out of the Florrick’s apartment building. He asks Peter how it would look for him to back a candidate that’s having an affair with his wife. The Governor then pours two glasses of water and throws them both in the States Attorney’s face. I don’t think a re-election is in the cards for the sneaky little States Attorney.
Alicia’s client says some racist and other offensive comments while having an interview on CNN about his business. Alicia manages the fallout when her corporate CEO client’s insensitive statements to the press threaten the fate of a multi-billion dollar merger. Meanwhile, Diane and Louis Canning take opposite sides in a class-action suit involving a pharmaceutical company. Diane assumes that Florrick Agos stole her client when in all actuality it was Canning. He tainted how the pharmaceutical company views Lockhart Gardner and that’s why she lost her client to Michael J. Fox.
I’m with Cary. People should know when to sthu and sit down! There should be PSAs on that subject. I really like Cary on The Good Wife. He’s no nonsense in business; except with Kalinda. That girl can get anything out of that poor guy. She’s good!
Eli calls Alicia to try and figure out what is going on in their marriage. After he walks up on Peter and some new, very attractive intern in his office having a casual conversation. Eli got the impression that the two of them were flirting with one another. Alicia informs Eli that she and Peter are married and will remain as such, but they’re allowed to do whatever they want. Eli doesn’t like the Governor flirting one bit. It’s bad for Peter’s image so he tells that intern to stay away from Peter’s office and not to speak to him.
The episode ends with a knock at the Governor’s office door. Peter assumes it’s Eli and tells him to come back later. The door opens and it’s the good looking intern. Until next week!
