She is best known to reality show fans for her rather traumatic appearances during the first two seasons of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills which saw her marriage unravel.
But three years after her final appearance on the Bravo show, Camille Grammar looked almost unrecognisable as she stepped out on the Betsey Johnson runway in New York Fashion Week on Wednesday.
The 46-year-old sported a baby doll negligee with fluffy pom poms and bra detail teamed with a bridal veil, fluffy white handbag and matching silver shoes with fluffy detail.
The look was made even more dramatic with smudged eye make-up, bright red lipstick and a tousled blonde hairstyle.
Camille made her appearance more than six months after completing treatments for
endometrial cancer, and she seemed excited about her catwalk turn.
‘In NYC for fashion week,;’ she tweeted. ‘Getting ready to walk the runway for Betsey Johnson. So excited! At my age and after cancer. A bit nervous.’
‘It’s going to be a great show, fun!! I love the theme,’ she added.
And at the end of the show, Camille paraded down the runway with a white vest top and glittering silver pom poms.
The ex-wife of Kelsey Grammer was joined by several other stars from the reality show franchise including Cynthia Bailey from The Real Housewives Of Atlanta who looked striking in a tiered metallic halterneck dress and tousled hairstyle.
‘Got my life walking in @xobetseyjohnson todayHad so much fun #onceamodel,’ Bailey wrote after the catwalk stint.
Real Housewives of New York star Kristen Taekman was given a more flouncy look, strutting down the runway in a strapless meringue style gown, complete with pastel coloured beaded necklace and tiara.
‘Got to walk in a wedding dress today for Betseys show so fun!! #stillgotit #RHONY,’ Kristen tweeted before her runway entrance.
The ladies were among drag queens and a transgender bride romping down the 72-year-old designer’s catwalk with RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Sharon Needles and Willam Belli also involved.
Betsey, who is appearing in the forthcoming season of Dancing With The Stars, also introduced her professional partner Tony Dovolani at the end of the show along with her traditional cartwheel and splits.
‘He is unbelievably great,’ Johnson said. ‘Now I will really go in panic mode. I know the routine. I’m really good but I could forget in a second.
‘Seventy-two-years-old. Grandma. It could just slip my mind, but I can’t wait.’
Backstage, Johnson called the show a celebration of freedom in marriage. It’s ‘trendy and transgendy,’ she said.
‘Pre nup is a part of the whole world of straight brides, gay brides, transgender marriages, everybody getting married. Finally, freedom.’
Some of her brides were rockers, starlets, harlots and hip-hop lovers in multicolored ruffles and foil-like tiers of silver and teal.
And a few stripped off layers of wispy seafoam skirts and the bridal looks for others had them ready for the honeymoon in nighties.
She emblazoned tops in glittery PRE NUP, a message carried into chunky necklaces as well.
‘The clothes are my first shot at all kinds of brides,’ she said. ‘It’s been the most fun to work on this show. A lot of kind of new, more abstract ideas: see-through plastic dresses and dresses made out of scuba fabric and horse hair.’
