Real Housewives of New York CAST Shake Up!

The cast change is reportedly due to Bravo wanting to build the reality show around cast members Heather Thompson, Kristen Taekman and Carole Radziwill.

The Real Housewives of New York City has reportedly cast off one of its housewives.

Aviva Drescher has been fired from the Bravo series. Her co-star Ramona Singer has been demoted to “a friend of…” similar to LuAnn De Lesseps, who only appeared on a handful of episodes last season.

“Bravo is casting the show around (cast members) Heather Thomson and Kristen Taekman and Carole Radziwill,” says a source about the reason behind the cast shake up.

It’s being reported that when Ramona carried the show,  is why ratings plummeted.

The insider also said that Singer’s six-figure paycheck contributed to why she was bumped to a recurring role. She is the longest-running original cast member, having starred on the show since its 2008 premiere.

Drescher, 45, had been on the show for the last two seasons, including a tumultuous one that saw her get into a feud with Radziwill and throwing her prosthetic leg across the room during the season six finale.

Singer, 57, suffered personal setbacks after the show concluded filming its sixth season. Her marriage to Mario, her husband of 22 years, imploded after his affair was made public earlier this year.

The reality star refused to discuss the topic during the “RHONY” reunion show in August, but a few weeks later she announced on twitter that she had separated with her husband.

Bethenny Frankel Returning to RHONY?

I recently read that Bravo is considering asking Bethenny Frankel back to star in the Real Housewives of New York next season! According to Radar Online, a source has revealed, “Bethenny has been in formal talks with Bravo to return to RHONY . . . Bravo has told Bethenny she could return as a special guest star, which wouldn’t require as much filming, which is appealing to her.”

I hope this rumor is true! Sure Bethenny can be a bit annoying in real life (cough, as a talk show host, cough) but she really brought the drama on RHONY back when she was one of the original cast members. New York needs something huge to resuscitate their very poor ratings and Bethenny is as huge as it gets. Well not literally. You know what I mean! We need her to get in Aviva’s face and say stuff like…

Maybe she and Ramona can be running buddies since Ramona’s single now and all. That would be awesome to see those two team up! Especially since Radar Online is also reporting that Bravo is also in talks with Jill Zarin to re-join the Real Housewives of New York as well. According to a Bravo source, “Producers need to shake up the cast because the ratings have just plummeted. They are also exploring the prospect of bringing Bethenny’s frenemy, Jill Zarin back,” the source said. “Recently Jill appeared on ABC‘s Wife Swap, and fans on social media have been asking for her to return.”

I watched Jill Zarin on Celebrity Wife Swap and in my opinion she was horrid. I don’t know who is worse for RHONY Aviva or JillZ. We’ll have to call it a tie. Naturally I am not a fan of JillZ being re-cast on the Real Housewives of New York. I hope they get rid of Aviva, add Bethenny full time and keep Luann, Heather and Ramona. Kristen is a terrible idea for reality tv. She brings nothing interesting to the table. Oh, and keep Sonja and Carole too. I love Carole and Heather together. They’re hilarious and have a sweet friendship that seems genuine. It would not surprise me though to see Bethenny back on RHONY; if they offer her the right price that is. Stay tuned!

Real Housewives of New York’s Ramona Singer’s husband, Mario caught with ‘mistress’ Kasey Dexter after wife kicked him out of the house!

Ramona Singer allegedly has thrown her husband Mario out after finding him cheating again.

The 57-year-old Real Housewives Of New York City star reportedly discovered in late July that her 60-year-old husband was back with his alleged mistress Kasey Dexter, reports In Touch.

Now, Mario has been pictured with the Hamptons socialite, 32, enjoying brunch in New York City; fueling speculation that he and Ramona are possibly truly over.

In the snap, taken on Saturday, Mario is seen sitting at a table with the young blonde at Manhattan’s Anassa Taverna. 

Apparently on that very day, Ramona changed her Facebook cover photo from one of her with Mario and their 19-year-old daughter Avery to a picture of just her and Avery.

And according to In Touch, Mario and Kasey were seen enjoying a romantic stroll together in Montauk, Long Island on July 27. 

‘Once again,’ a source told the publication, ‘Mario made a fool out of Ramona.’

The reality star couple’s marriage was put in jeopardy after allegations of infidelity by Mario, and a recent report claimed that they even had their attorney send Kasey a cease and desist letter.

The legal warning told the fitness guru not to contact them ‘in any manner, fashion, or form… in person, telephonically, electronically, by mail or by any other means.’ 

Ramona had her lawyer threaten the Kasey with jail time after allegedly receiving ‘unsolicited lewd, lascivious and salacious messages.’

Ramona originally filed for divorce in January after reportedly catching her husband cheating with Kasey at their Hamptons home.

But in April it was reported that she had called off the divorce from her spouse of 25 years after the couple sought help from a therapist.

Ramona remained mum about her marriage during part two of the Real Housewives Of New York reunion special on Tuesday.

When host Andy Cohen continued to press her on the status of her relationship, Ramona deflected with answers like:

‘Everyone in my family is great’ and ‘I have a 19-year-old daughter, so I’m not going to go there’.

Have you ever watched Celebrity Wife Swap? I caught it one night when Jermaine Jackson and Daniel Baldwin were on and it was pure comedic gold! The episode with Jill Zarin who once starred on Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York will air on Tuesday, July 15th on the ABC network and will also star Jenna Von Oy. Von Oy is most famous for her role on ‘Blossom’ in which she played Six.

     The show’s about mothers in two celebrity families with vastly diverse values switching homes (but not bedrooms) — embarking on a journey like no other and revealing the various ways some controversial celebrities live their lives. The two moms are given the chance to see how another celebrity raises their children and deals with life in the spotlight, while allowing both couples the opportunity to re-discover why they love each other and decided to get together in the first place. It’s a mind-blowing experiment that will change their lives forever.

In each of the episodes, two mothers with very different types of households swap lifestyles and children in a week-long challenge. In the first part of the swap, each mom moves into the other’s home and adopts their new celebrity family’s lifestyle, no matter how different it may be. They agree to follow a manual written by the departing mother that sets out the rules of their new household – how they parent, manage their social life, do house work, unwind and more.

In the second half of the week, everything changes. The new moms take charge. They introduce their own set of rules and get to run the new household their way. It’s a radical shock to both celebrity families. The results are explosive, enlightening, emotional and often very funny.

By the way, what happened to Aviva? She’s out of the credits and hasn’t been in the last few episodes. “Word on the street is…” Bravo’s pissed at her for refusing to go on the Berkshires trip; so now Aviva’s in time out. New York needs a shake up in the cast anyway. I was tweeting with some New York fans and bloggers and the idea of firing Kristen Taekman, HOLLAHeather and LuAnn de Lesseps was suggested. Also, bring back Kelly Bensimon and Jill Zarin. What are your thoughts? Sound off in comments.
